Axis Communications announced a new series of outdoor-ready, high-performance fixed network cameras that save installation time and costs. The IP66-rated network cameras Axis P1343-E, P1344-E, P1346-E and Q1755-E ought to offer protection against dust, rain, snow and sun, and can operate in temperatures as low as -40° F (-40° C).

The feature ‘Arctic Temperature Control’, that allows the camera to not only function at -40 °F but also power up at that temperature following a power failure, is available for secure start-up of zoom cameras in freezing temperatures.
